Description
All my life I have been a basketball player. I was an All-American in college and had dreams of going pro. I even tried out for professional teams overseas after my senior year. I started running during graduate school as a way to feel connected to my dad who passed away my senior year of college. Following my senior year, I became the graduate assistant coach for the women's basketball team at Minot State University. I would coach there for three years. Following my time at Minot State I became the assistant coach for the girls' basketball team at Ventura High School. I coached there for three years. During my six years of coaching at the college and high school level I learned a lot and my love of coaching grew immensely.
I now have a passion for coaching and helping people achieve their goals. Just before the pandemic, I moved to Michigan where I share a home with my partner and our two German Shorthaired Pointers. I now coach full-time while training for the 2024 Olympic Marathon Trials. In 2022, I ran the Bayshore Marathon and set a PR of 2:42:51, making me the 5th fastest U.S.-born African American woman of all time. I am a V.O2 Certified running coach and I look forward to helping you on your running journey.
