When selecting athletes to coach, I'm looking for individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to their training, showing a willingness to consistently put in the effort needed to achieve their goals. Coachability is crucial, as I seek athletes who are open to feedback, eager to learn, and ready to apply coaching advice to enhance their performance. Being goal-oriented is another key quality; I work best with runners who have clear objectives, whether it’s completing a race, improving speed, or boosting overall fitness, and who are motivated to pursue these goals. Resilience is essential, especially when facing setbacks like injuries or tough training cycles. I value athletes who can maintain a positive attitude and focus on recovery and improvement.
