About Mark Good
Distance running coach with a competitive background and a science-based approach.
Description
With a lifetime of experience in distance running, I bring both passion and expertise to coaching. I competed in track and cross country through high school and college before returning to road racing. Since 2021, I've been coaching middle school distance runners at Parma Western, where every distance record has been rewritten under my guidance. My approach was inspired by the "Norwegian Method" of training, made popular by the Ingebrigtsen brothers, and informed by experts like Daniels, McMillan, and Magness. Using cutting-edge methods, including blood lactate testing, I fine-tune training intensity and volume to help athletes reach their full potential.
Athlete Requirements
To train under my guidance, athletes must: Set and track personal goals for training and racing. Maintain a training journal to log workouts, races, and progress. This ensures accountability, reflection, and continuous improvement.
