I began my running journey for the same reason as many people, to get myself moving. The first step I took was to complete a Couch to 5k programme and I haven't looked back since.
Soon I was searching for the best running programme and was introduced to VDOT, which has helped me tackle many events and achieve a range of personal bests.
I applaud everyone who has the grit and determination to put on their running shoes and complete a training block. The race is the victory lap for the countless training sessions that have been completed.
When I design a training plan, it will be to suit you, the individual. It will not be a generic plan because you are not generic. How could your plan be? The plan will revolve around you, the days when you are available, the time you can dedicate to training, the intensity of the sessions, and most importantly, your goals.
The most important part of the plan is you. All you need is determination and the right plan. Remember, the plan will be designed around you and your goals.
