About Kasey Halbleib
Philly-based runner with 4+ years of running and 8 marathons under my belt, including a 3:03 Boston Marathon PR (down from 3:47) and a 1:28 half. I've trained through high-mileage blocks, including multiple 100-mile weeks, and I'm passionate about helping others chase big goals. There's nothing like watching someone put in the work and accomplish what once felt impossible. Running has given me the best community I've ever been part of, and I coach because I want to help other runners find that same thing.
Description
Hi, I'm Kasey, a Philly-based, UESCA-certified run coach and the person behind Run Wild Coaching. My coaching philosophy comes down to three things: grow, train, thrive. Setting a big goal is supposed to feel a little scary; that's how you know it's worth chasing. Nothing grows in the comfort zone, and I believe growing as an athlete and growing as a person go hand in hand. I don't believe in copy-paste programming. Your plan is built around your goals, your current fitness, and your actual life, dynamic enough to shift when life throws scheduling conflicts, bad sleep, or a rough week your way, because it will. Showing up consistently matters more than any single perfect workout. Hard work works, but if it's not fun, it doesn't last. My job is to take the guesswork and the noise off your plate: the endless comparison trap of chasing whatever the internet says is the "best" way to train. You bring the effort. I'll bring the plan, the perspective, and the belief that you can do this. How I coach: - You're an individual, not a template - Clear, regular communication so you're never left wondering what's next or why - Coaching that adapts to how you respond best, tough love or a gentler push - Education, not just instructions Everything documented, so you can look back and see how far you've come A few things that make me, me (outside of running) : - Big-time dog lover - Sweet treat chaser (especially ice cream) - Lifelong creative: painter, illustrator, and graphic designer
Athlete Requirements
To get the most out of coaching, here’s what I ask of you: Show up and give your best effort. Some days that means crushing a workout; other days it means just getting out the door. Both count. Availability to run: - Intermediate/advanced runners: able to run 5x or more per week - Beginners: able to run 3–4x per week Stay in communication. The more I hear from you, the better I can tailor your plan and help you get the most out of your training. That’s it. Bring the effort, availability, and communication, and I’ll bring the rest.
