Description
___________________________________________________________________________________________ I am entering my third year of professional running with Under Armour, based at our Global Headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. In the past three years I've had the privilege of working with runners to quality and run personal bests at the Boston, New York City, Chicago, and Amsterdam Marathons. I’ve also been able to help athletes get ready for their first ever 5k, and run PBs in track events from the 800m up to the 10,000m. I'm currently working with high school, collegiate, and masters runners and am excited about helping each of them achieve their goals. Whether you're training to run your first 5k or to qualify for the Marathon Olympic Trials, I'm excited to work with you. I grew up in Arizona where I was coached by my Father in Cross Country and Track & Field in high school. I walked on to the Track & Field team at Arizona State University and in my last year in the NCAA I set the ASU school record in the 10,000m. My coaching career began the year after at Arizona State where I spent two years working with Head Coach Cory Leslie guiding the men's and women's cross country teams. During the same time I had the privilege to learn from and work alongside the President of the Sports Lawyers Association, Glenn Wong, as his research assistant while completing my Master’s Degree in Sports Law. Both of these experiences have gone a long way in shaping how I approach the sport of running today. Prior to working with Cory Leslie I worked with Coach Louie Quintana and Coach Jeremy Rasmussen, both of which have coached individual NCAA champions. Vdot founder Brian Rosetti and I sat down for a conversation recently, you can listen to the podcast here- https://news.vdoto2.com/2022/01/conversation-pace-john-reniewicki/
