Dr. Nathan Pennington, DBA, is a sub-2:20 marathoner who has been coaching and mentoring athletes for the past 30 years. He guides and mentors athletes providing weekly insight at the RunDreamAchieve YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/rundreamachieve). A two-time world armed forces cross-country team qualifier, Nathan finished in 4th place and top American at the 2007 California International Marathon with a time of 2:19:35. Also, finishing in 5th place at the 2011 Monumental Indianapolis Marathon with a time of 2:26:42 managing to run the time despite an emergency porta-john stop while running with the leaders at mile 17. Nathan served over 20 years on active duty in the US Army retiring at the rank of Major with 6 years of that time serving as an enlisted Soldier. Dr. Pennington has been fortunate to have worked with and been mentored by 3 of the world's most respected coaches and runners. Dr. Joe Vigil, PhD, Jack Hazen (Nathan's collegiate coach while attending Malone University) and Lisa Rainsberger (1985 Boston Marathon champion) who coached Nathan while he was serving with the US Army World Class Athlete Program as a Soldier-athlete. Nathan's training plans stem from the coaches he was coached by and have helped numerous runners from around the world set new personal bests.
